Fab five: body lotions

The cold dreary winter months are finally behind us and I'm ever so ready to swap my warm woolies for summer dresses, singlets and shorts. Luckily I've been diligently moisturizing my body day and night keeping it in tip top condition so I can bare some skin. Here are five of my favourite body lotions...
Burt's Bees Radiance Body Lotion - my pick for summer, this body lotion lives up to its name and provides a healthy summery glow to skin. Lightweight and fluid, it is readily absorbed by the skin and is great for the hot months ahead when heavier lotions just leave my skin feel like a greasy mess.

Urban Rituelle Equilibrium Hand and  Body lotion - the divine scent of mandarin, basil and lime was what first drew me to this product but it actually does so much more than smell nice. It contains argan oil which deeply nourishes the skin, leaving it hydrated, while cucumber and chamomile extracts help to calm and soothe the skin.

The Body Shop Vineyard Peach Body Lotion - I've been hooked on lotions from The Body Shop ever since I was a teenager and this one is my current favourite. It smells like fresh peaches and I like it so much I tend to use it after a shower with the Vineyard Peach shower gel to layer on the delicious scent. It glides on skin, leaving it soft and smooth.

Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin Moisturiser - I was stoked when Jergens first became available in Australia a couple of years ago. After reading about it on numerous beauty blogs, I just wanted to try for myself to see what the fuss was about...and I was not disappointed at all. My go-to product in the cold months when my skin is at its driest, this heavy duty moisturiser has a thick consistency yet is absorbed quickly so skin never feels flaky or dry.

Emma Organics Nourishing Body Milk - I keep this in the living room and use it on my hands all the time, when I'm watching TV or typing away on the laptop. It's non-greasy and effective in hydrating even the most sensitive of skins. Its vegan-friendly, cruelty, palm oil and gluten free formula makes it an ethical choice for those seeking a chemical free product.

You have totally inspired me to moisturise (as weird as that is!) but I'm pretty diligent these days or at least since being winter here. All these recommendations sound amazing, I'd love to try the peach and the Emma's organic!

Nice selection. I must put on body lotion at night before I sleep.

Thanks for sharing your favourite body lotions. I sometimes forget moisturize but it's so important though! And your skin is definitely going to thank you for it. Have a nice weekend.

I've been hooked on the body shop since I was a teen too, however stopped using them in past years only to rediscover it again! I started using the strawberry scented lotion, but I wish I knew there was a peach one! God it must smell divine

For drier weather, I usu add a bit of body oil to my lotion and helps make luxury creams go a bit further ;-) All lovely choices and will bookmark this for when I come to Sydney this Xmas — one highlight of my annual pilgrimage Down Under.
