Fab five: liquid foundation

I find it quite ironic how as a teenager, I used to pack on thick matte foundation in an attempt to look older, while now I wear foundation in the hope of looking more youthful. How the tables have turned! While I appreciate the ease of using a stick or powder foundation, I keep going back to the trusted liquid foundation - it's kind on my dry skin and easy to blend. A really good foundation can even add a healthy glow and even out my skin tone. These five are my top picks...
Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow! Brightening Makeup - This product provides light to medium coverage without looking or feeling cakey. Its oil free formula feels hydrating and lovely on my dry skin and lasts all day, even when I've been busy chasing the naughty boy around. Bonus: It comes with SPF25.

LUMA Cosmetics Liquid Foundation - I wear this on days when I'm just hanging out at home or at the park, when I don't want to look all dolled up (and ridiculous!) but would like a bit of natural cover up. This foundation provides the lightest of coverage but just enough to even out the skin tone and give it a nice healthy glow.

Klara CC Cream 8 in 1 Mineral Foundation - This is the bottle I reach for on special occasions when I want to look immaculate and my absolute best. It provides full coverage but still somehow manages to look natural. Its mineral properties allows my skin to breathe. Best of all it is long lasting which ensures I look fresh all day.

The Body Shop Moisture Foundation - A great everyday foundation which is easy to blend. Thanks to the Vitamin E, marula oil and organic beeswax, this feels really nice on my dry skin even on the coldest harsh wintry days. When used with a pressed powder, this gives my skin a lovely dewy finish.

Natio Invisible Blend Foundation - This foundation certainly lives up to its name and is a dream to apply and blend. It provides medium coverage with a natural finish, leavings skin looking radiant and healthy. It is scented (which I'm not a fan of) but happy to overlook for its great price point.

I tried a sample of the Benefit Hello Flawless and thought it was lovely. I'd totally buy it if I start using foundation again.

I had a laugh at this. I used to do the same when I was younger. Now you do it for that dewy youthful glow.

This couldn't have come at a better time! I'm on the market for a new foundation, something with more coverage and more lasting power when I need to look put together for several hours and have no chance to refresh my makeup. I will definitely check out the Body Shop one!

Oh what lovely picks! I would love to try a foundation from TBS as well as Natio! I'm young but I want a matte finish purely because it feels the most comfortable here in humid singapore! I sweat non-stop sometimes out and about so I NEED a powder on top of my bases! I've experienced cold weather and not having to powder is so freeing! Thanks for sharing your picks!

I used to put on thick make up when I were working but since I became a homemaker, I seldom put on makeup. And I find my skin is better now. More breathable without foundation. Haha.

I will not leave the house without foundation! Great to see your recommendations as I haven't heard of these brands before.

I've used liquid foundation forever. I love when it was SPF even though I already wear sunscreen moisturizer.

Altho I don't use foundations or bb creams, I enjoy "studying" the different brands & types. I like wearing sunscreens with a slight tint of pink so that at least I don't look too white. Nice picks, dear! xoxo
