I find it quite ironic how as a teenager, I used to pack on thick matte foundation in an attempt to look older, while now I wear foundation in the hope of looking more youthful. How the tables have turned! While I appreciate the ease of using a stick or powder foundation, I keep going back to the trusted liquid foundation - it's kind on my dry skin and easy to blend. A really good foundation can even add a healthy glow and even out my skin tone. These five are my top picks...
LUMA Cosmetics Liquid Foundation - I wear this on days when I'm just hanging out at home or at the park, when I don't want to look all dolled up (and ridiculous!) but would like a bit of natural cover up. This foundation provides the lightest of coverage but just enough to even out the skin tone and give it a nice healthy glow.
Klara CC Cream 8 in 1 Mineral Foundation - This is the bottle I reach for on special occasions when I want to look immaculate and my absolute best. It provides full coverage but still somehow manages to look natural. Its mineral properties allows my skin to breathe. Best of all it is long lasting which ensures I look fresh all day.
The Body Shop Moisture Foundation - A great everyday foundation which is easy to blend. Thanks to the Vitamin E, marula oil and organic beeswax, this feels really nice on my dry skin even on the coldest harsh wintry days. When used with a pressed powder, this gives my skin a lovely dewy finish.
Natio Invisible Blend Foundation - This foundation certainly lives up to its name and is a dream to apply and blend. It provides medium coverage with a natural finish, leavings skin looking radiant and healthy. It is scented (which I'm not a fan of) but happy to overlook for its great price point.
