DIY animal lid bottle

On my recent trip back to Singapore, I met up with a friend one day at Haji Lane, a trendy new shopping destination. It was lovely walking down the alley and looking at cute trinkets, hard to find knick knacks and the racks upon racks of vintage clothes. While I was there, I noticed in many of the shops, some adorable animal lidded jars painted in sweetest pastel hues and was tempted to buy a few if not for the hassle of transporting back home.

So here I am back home in Sydney and I still can't get those jars out of my head. So I decided to make my own. And guess what? It was easy as pie!
You'll need:

Spray paint (I used high gloss enamel)
Old glass jars/ bottles
Plastic figurines
Hot glue gun
Instructions:

1. Apply 2-3 coats of spray paint to figurines as per paint instructions. Allow to completely air dry.
2. Use hot glue gun to adhere figurines to lids of glass bottles. Screw on and use as storage bottles.

This looks easy enough to do. A bit too girly for me, but I suppose I could do the same with some mason jars and screws and nails and that sort of thing. Could be a very useful solution to keep all those errant bits from getting lost on the garage floor and all that. Thanks for the idea!
