Alexander was only six months old when I put him in a sleeping bag for bedtimes and I have not looked back since. They are a great alternative to blankets, allowing Little A to roll around as he wished and giving me a peace of mind, knowing he is safe and warm.
The only issue with sleeping bags though was I needed so many of them - one for warm summer months, another for cold wintry months and yet another for the in-between transition months. It was a costly exercise but I didn't know of a better alternative...until the lovely people at The Sleepy Company contacted me and offered to send me their 365 Sleep Bag- a configurable, all-seasons organic baby sleeping bag to trial and review.
Oh yes. You read that right - one bag for all 365 days of the year.
The 365 Sleep Bag has a roomy design which allows for kicking, rolling and free movenment. I love that it is made of breathable 100% certified organic cotton making it suitable for babies with sensitive skin or eczema. It's breathable fabric prevent overheating and is naturally soft. In fact as I'm typing this, Alexander is fast asleep in Dreamland, wearing his Autumn/Spring bag which I know is keeping him comfortably cosy.
