5 ways to use lemon

My neighbour gave me a few lemons from her garden this week, and boy, they are seriously huge...the biggest lemons I've ever seen. I was wondering what I could do with them, when (don't laugh) I searched my blog for inspiration. Turns out I did a few lovely things with lemons that I'd forgotten about. So I thought I'd do a quick re-post and share them with you.

When life gives you lemons, make...

1. lemon loaf - perfect with tea! Recipe here.
2. flavoured butter. Recipe for sage, chilli and lemon butter here.
3. lemon and mint bath salts and treat yourself to an invigorating soak. DIY here.
4. preserved lemon peel. So you'll always have lemons on hand. Great for pastas, fish, risotto or in roast chicken. Find out how here.
5. lavender lemonade - it is truly the perfect thirst quencher. Recipe here.
How do you use lemons?

That lemon loaf looks delicious! I would want to use the lemons in lemon water, lemonade, lemon cookies, or a lemon cake! Or maybe even some lemon lime juice.

Yum yum. You used a lot of lemons. I seldom use lemons at home but if have, usually in lemonade or act as natural freshener in room or deodoriser in fridge. I did tried putting a slice of lemon in my room when my kid was sick.

I didn't know there are that many ways to use lemons. I love them in lemonade, but preserving the peel idea intrigues me. I need to try it. Thanks for sharing.
