Six months

How is it possible that six months have passed already? I still remember as if it was only yesterday I saw him for the first time, all pink and new and teeny weeny. I can't believe how much he's grown since!
This little blue outfit he is wearing actually belongs to Stu! Yes, it is over 40 years old (how amazing is that?) I love the way he looks in it, so handsome, my little one.
These days I'm loving...

1. Both of us lying down in the backyard, watching the trees and the clouds and the clear blue skies. Frankie running around, chasing birds and occasionally coming around to check on us.

2. Feeding him new foods. Watching his face go from a mixture of confusion and uncertainty and then to opening his mouth for seconds when he decides it's 'approved'!

3. His interactions with Frankie. While Frankie has always been enamored by Alexander from day dot (read about that here). He has been at best oblivious to her until the last few weeks. Now, he is absolutely delighted to have a living, moving furry "toy" to play with and he giggles and laughs when he tries to chew on her tail. I'm ever so grateful that Frankie has such a tolerant, sweet personality and that the two are getting along.
4. His sweet smile when I give him a kiss while he is fast asleep.

5. How cuddles make everything better. This morning at the doctors while getting his immunization jabs, he screamed and cried when the needles went in. But as soon as I scooped him up, his cries immediately stopped. The nurse called it 'cuddle magic'.

6. His look of concentration when he is squeezing out a big poo.

Everyday I think how wonderful it is to be able to devote all my love and attention onto this sweet baby and that for now at least, he is my one and only. These are sweet times indeed.

Awwww Alex looks adorable in Stu's powder blue outfit. Love the fact that it carries so much history and sentimentality. I'd been collecting little soft toys from my travels, e.g. platypus, kangaroo, kaola etc from all over Oz and now Charles plays with them. Feels v special. :)

Oh yes where does the time go. I still feel like that six years well nearly seven on for one and four nearly five for the other. It only feels like yesterday when life was suddenly turned upside down in the best possible way. Alexander is such a gorgeous boy and I absolutely love that beautiful blue knitting playsuit on him, wow how well has that kept for being 40 years old, incredible! I love reading about what you love about your time together and I think it is so good to be grateful for these very simple yet beautiful things. Frankie is and sounds like the perfect companion and he is so gorgeous. What type of dog is he, spaniel?? Sorry I have been a little absent here lately, you are never far from my thoughts. Sending you much love xoxo

What a beautiful little boy! And, how wonderful that he's donning your hubby's sweater outfit. My oldest son was able to wear a coat Mark wore as a baby--which is always a special thing. Amazing how quickly time flies, isn't it? Big hugs, T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com
