Floral Friday - a new bloom

Happy New Year!

In 2014, I'll be hosting a little blog series called Floral Friday. This is a monthly photography project which is all about fun, taking time out to smell the flowers and trying different ways of photographing flowers. This month's theme is "a new bloom".
As we enter into the new year, I like to think it brings forth new beginnings and fresh starts. I think this rose in full bloom quite accurately signifies the year already gone while the tiny bud next to it conveys to me the brand new year - so pure, untainted and full of hope.
I am very honored to be joined by a few of my favorite blogging friends to help kickstart the series. They will be linking up below so do take the time to visit their Floral Friday posts too!

Floral Fridays is a monthly photography project with different themes each month. This series is about fun and taking time out to smell the flowers. To play along, please email me for next month's theme.

I just love this so much! Flowers have so much meaning and symbolize so much of what we go through in life. In the end, you never know what to expect from a blooming flower, as is life. Happy to be a new follower!

Hi Trishie, a single rose is hard to beat in its beauty, isn't it? Love the modern glass vase you presented it in. I always find that glass vases are not taking away from a bloom but just elegantly emphasize its beauty! Happy New Year to you!
