DIY scalloped edge bowl

I love playing around with fimo clay, so I'm always, always thinking up new ways to craft with them. These adorable little scalloped edge bowls are my latest creations and will make a lovely home for your rings, earrings and other dainty things. You'll need:

Fimo clay
Flower cookie cutter and/or tart tin with scalloped edge
Rolling pin
Bowls
Small sharp knife

Method

1. Roll clay into ball and flatten with rolling pin.

2. Use cookie cutter to cut out scalloped edge.

3. Use tip of knife to cut out any excess clay.

4. Place in centre of bowl.

5. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 110 degrees Celsius. Once baked, allow to cool to room temperature so the clay completely hardens.

They are so cute! I've never worked with fimo clay, but I've seen really cute crafts made with it so I'll have to give it a try one of these days.

Gorgeous work Trishie! I usually use air dry clay but will definitely need to try fimo next time - love the whiter then white look.

Creative simple and yet so elegant. I can see these being great on a coffee table, side table or on your night stand! Love them! Maybe spray painting them is the next step? I'm seeing metallic gold!
