reading... Crazy Rich Asians by Kevin Kwan. Such a crazy good read. Wildly entertaining and fascinating. And no, you don't need to be Asian to appreciate it.
excited about... our belated anniversary lunch celebration. Stu's mum has been enlisted to help with babysitting for a few hours while Stu and I steal away for our first date in 2 months! We're lunching at one of Sydney's most iconic restaurant - Guillaume at Bennelong, (yes that restaurant inside the Opera House) which sadly closes its doors at the end of this year.
ordering... a new BBQ for summertime entertaining.
planning... a little weekender come January next year.
watching... Happiest Baby on the Block. Learning Dr Karp's tips on how to settle Alexander.
dreaming about... travelling again. To destinations I'd never been, to see sights I'd never seen.
baking... not so much baking but will be attempting to make a crepe cake when Alexander allows.
feeling... like I'm finally out of a baby-induced daze. Alex is finally starting to sleep through the night (though not all nights) so I'm a lot less sleep deprived and feeling more like a normal person. I've also become a more confident mum now than I was two months ago.
wanting... a Christmas tree decked out in pretty ornaments for Alex's first Christmas.
grateful for... Alexander's sweet smiles, gentle coos, strong kicking legs and overall good health.
loving... the pretty pink peonies I picked up at the supermarket (pictured above). Their sweet scent, their round and full blossoms, their delicate petals.
collecting... seed pods and pine cones - they're everywhere at the moment and would make for a great craft project.
