While walking #4

So Alexander is my new walking buddy! And I LOVE going out for walks with my darling boy and watching him watch the world. Seems like Alexander likes it too, as the movements of the pram so often rocks him into a deep slumber partway through each walk.

At the moment, the vibrant red of the bottlebrush can be spotted almost everywhere, as are the different varieties gum nuts and the many, many beautiful flowers adorning my neighbours' front yard that I can't bring myself to pick.
PS: I still haven't quite figured out how to manage pushing the pram and walking the dog. So any tips will be appreciated!

I love this time of year, seeing all the colours come out - especially the native ones!

Lovely pics! I used to talk walks with my sons when they were still younger. Now, they are grown (sigh). I sure have wonderful memories of our sweet walks together, though! Hugs, T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogpot.com

I'm glad you're able to get out and about with your baby--such a sweet time that must be! Can't even imagine how complicated walking a dog and pushing a pram must be!

The stroller and dog were hard for me too. I wish I had a tip.

What wonderful memories you are already creating for you and Alexander-I have 3 daughters with little ones and dogs. Somehow they manage to walk altogether and not fall! I have no idea how they do it-

Ha, I've tried several times to walk my dog while pushing my niece in her stroller . . . I'm pretty sure we look like a comedy act :-)

I never could do the dogs and the stroller but Nora loved being pushed around or in one of those wraps. Your new baby is absolutely adorable.

I've noticed the bottle brush too! It seems so much vibrant than usual, but that could just be me! I've never used a pram but I do walk a dog so maybe one of those retractable leads. If he/she likes to wander they can do it for a bit and you can continue forward without too much trouble. I think they extend to about 3 or 4 meters so that might be something.

Bottlebrushes are so pretty. Great pics. Um, maybe try and pick a side and make it so the dog has to always stay on that side of the pram. It's a pain when they are all over the place. I used to hook the lead around my wrist, if you tie it onto the pram, the dog could pull the pram over. Not sure I was any help there. I hope your dog gets used to it and falls into line soon :D. sparkle2day.com

What a beautiful collection! I also adore going on walks with my little lady and like you I haven't been brave enough to take the dog along as well. He's too crazy and zig zags all over the road so I can just imagine what a mess we would get ourselves into. Happy Tuesday. Melinda x
