Cosima Organic Skincare: Review and Giveaway

I think I'm extremely lucky to live in Australia - home to a number of outstanding natural and organic skincare brands that have to meet stringent requirements in order to have been certified as such.

Cosima Skincare is one such brand. In fact, it is Australia's FIRST Certified Organic Cosmeceutical Range 'Certified Organic by the Organic Food Chain', offering consumers a 100% natural and organic range of skincare products that are proudly Australian made and owned. I was very lucky to have been given the opportunity to trial 3 beautiful Cosima products recently.
True Renew Facial Exfoliator - I've mentioned before that when I exfoliate, I like to give it a real good scrubbing. But at the same time, my sensitive skin can get red and irritated if I get too carried away. I've tried many facial scrubs and so far, I like this Cosima exfoliator the best. As a scrub, it has just enough grit to refine and clarify my skin, yet it is also creamy so my skin doesn't feel like it's taking a beating and works well with my dry skin.

Soothing Clay Mask - I spent many years avoiding clay masks, thinking they would dry out my already dehydrated skin. Then I came across this French clay mask that is formulated especially for dry, sensitive or mature skin and went "Ooooooo, must try!" This mask came in a powder form that I mixed in with a bit of water before spreading all over my face. (Note to self: A little bit goes a long way!)

I was waiting for the drying of the clay and what I thought was the inevitable tighting of my skin which I find so extremely uncomfortable. I was pleasantly surprised when that didn't happen. The clay dried alright but there was no tightness whatsoever. Upon washing off, I found it had a gentle exfoliating function which left my skin feeling smooth, soft and bright. Most of all, my skin felt clean, like all the dirt and impurities have been sucked out and I'm just left with healthy radiant skin.

Regenerating Night Cream - Since the weather turned drier and colder, I've been especially diligent with hydration and in my opinion, no product is more important for hydrating the skin than the night cream. My main criteria for night cream is that is rich and at the same time easily absorbed by the skin. It needs also to make my skin feel soft without being greasy or waxy. And I want my skin to look rejuvenated and refreshed when I wake up. Cosima's regenerating night cream not only ticks the boxes; it is also nice smelling (think almonds) with lovely creamy consistency that my skin loves.

Giveaway time! Cosima is giving one lucky reader the chance to win all 3 products that I have reviewed in this post, namely the True Renew Facial Exfoliator, Soothing Clay Mask and Regenerating Night Cream (Total value: AUD$124.00)

For your chance to win, simply follow me on Facebook or Google Friend Connect or BlogLovin, then tell me as a comment on this post, why you would like to try Cosima Skincare.  You get an extra entry if you like the Cosima Facebook Page, just let me know in your comment if you have done so.

Giveaway ends on Monday 15th July, 5pm EST and is open to Australian readers only. Good luck!

Update: The winner is Sue! Congrats and thank you to everyone for participating.

losing the weight i have lost has left me with dryer skin, i feel like im looking old and i now need to change my skincare range. training leaves my skin feeling greasy and dirty and i dont think i should be using soap as i often do. if i have stopped putting chemicals in my body then i have to try a new product to go on my body

I know it takes a lot of time to write up reviews, thank you SO much for this, I can't wait to check these out, they sound unbelievable. And I'm a bit of a "snob" on skin care LOL

Hope you are well trishie, I've been busy with my girls graduation, so I haven't had the chance to blog. I've missed your space.

Why I would love to try these products.

I spend a lot of hours face painting, myself and others which dries out my skin dreadfully. Already having dry skin, this treatment just drains all moisture and glow from my depleted skin. I would love to find products that I can lather myself in, knowing they are really going to do as they claim. Reading you blog, these seem the products just for me. Desperate not to be a 'dried up prune' before my time, and having tried so many different products over the years, I would love to think this is the answer. Fingers crossed!!

My gorgeous products just arrived and I've spent a lovely 10 minutes massaging the exfoliator and then the night cream into my neglected face and neck. Total bliss and such a treat for a pensioner, many thanks to both Cosima and yourself for this generous gift.
