I think I'm extremely lucky to live in Australia - home to a number of outstanding natural and organic skincare brands that have to meet stringent requirements in order to have been certified as such.
Cosima Skincare is one such brand. In fact, it is Australia's FIRST Certified Organic Cosmeceutical Range 'Certified Organic by the Organic Food Chain', offering consumers a 100% natural and organic range of skincare products that are proudly Australian made and owned. I was very lucky to have been given the opportunity to trial 3 beautiful Cosima products recently.
True Renew Facial Exfoliator - I've mentioned before that when I exfoliate, I like to give it a real good scrubbing. But at the same time, my sensitive skin can get red and irritated if I get too carried away. I've tried many facial scrubs and so far, I like this Cosima exfoliator the best. As a scrub, it has just enough grit to refine and clarify my skin, yet it is also creamy so my skin doesn't feel like it's taking a beating and works well with my dry skin.
Soothing Clay Mask - I spent many years avoiding clay masks, thinking they would dry out my already dehydrated skin. Then I came across this French clay mask that is formulated especially for dry, sensitive or mature skin and went "Ooooooo, must try!" This mask came in a powder form that I mixed in with a bit of water before spreading all over my face. (Note to self: A little bit goes a long way!)
I was waiting for the drying of the clay and what I thought was the inevitable tighting of my skin which I find so extremely uncomfortable. I was pleasantly surprised when that didn't happen. The clay dried alright but there was no tightness whatsoever. Upon washing off, I found it had a gentle exfoliating function which left my skin feeling smooth, soft and bright. Most of all, my skin felt clean, like all the dirt and impurities have been sucked out and I'm just left with healthy radiant skin.
Regenerating Night Cream - Since the weather turned drier and colder, I've been especially diligent with hydration and in my opinion, no product is more important for hydrating the skin than the night cream. My main criteria for night cream is that is rich and at the same time easily absorbed by the skin. It needs also to make my skin feel soft without being greasy or waxy. And I want my skin to look rejuvenated and refreshed when I wake up. Cosima's regenerating night cream not only ticks the boxes; it is also nice smelling (think almonds) with lovely creamy consistency that my skin loves.
