Envisioning mini me

With another 3 months to go, I'm really starting to wonder what my baby is going to look like. Our latest 3D ultrasound shows he/she has my nose! (But then someone told me all babies have a flat-ish nose to make it easier for breastfeeding - is that true?) The fact that we don't know baby's gender makes it even more of a question mark.
I was always told that I look a lot like my father, and Stu is also the spitting image of his dad.  This makes me SO curious: will baby be a mini me or a mini Stu? Or perhaps a combination of the both of us? I simply cannot wait to meet baby and find out.
Do you look more like your mom or your dad? Or are you a little bit of both?

I look like my father but I have the mannerisms of my mother. My personality is a little of both! A lot is determined by genetics but a lot (with personality) also develops from which parent you spend the most time with as a young child.

Wow, I would be so curious to know. But no matter what the looks, I'm sure you will fall madly in love once you meet your baby.

Who you look like in some cases is subjective, I know with my kids I can see certain characteristics of ourselves or members of our family in each of them, and others see certain things too, one person will say that one of my children looks just like me and then another will say the same child looks just like his father- so go figure!

I am so excited for you both! <3 I'm 1/2 Asian 1/2 White, and when I was younger a lot of people said that I looked a lot like my father (which infuriated my 6 year old self to no end because I figured how could I look like my dad since I'm a girl!) but now that I'm an adult, it's easy to see the 50/50 mix of my parents in me :)

i don't look like my mom (she's dark and i'm pale and blondish) so people always asked if i was adopted. and clementine doesn't look anything like me, she's her dad's twin. i think newborns do usually look like their dads. can't wait to see your bub x

You both look so cute!! :) One thing's for sure, you're going to have a really really cute baby. I started off looking like my father, now that I'm getting older, I'm starting to look like my mother.

I remember wondering what both of my boys would look like before they were born, too... It brings back such fond memories! :) Enjoyed your adorable baby pics! T. http://tickledpinkwoman.blogspot.com

I am both. Jarvis some days looks Asian and like his Dad, other days he looks just like his sister.
I think babies are ever changing, one day you think you know what they look like and then they change. This is why I say you can never take too make photos of your children.

I can't even imagine how excited you must be! My husband and I are thinking of having kids soon and I'm already wondering what they'll look like :) I'm pretty much a combo of my mom and dad- my mom from the eyes up and my dad from the nose down.

Kids are a funny mix. I've been told I look like both. When I was young I loved finding the bits of both of my parents in me.

So far Baby Whimsy looks more like me but she definitely has lots of her papa too.

Oh those photos are cute! You were adorable. I never thought about the nose/breastfeeding thing but it kind of makes sense now I think about it.

I think one of the great joys about having children is looking to see which characteristics they inherit from which parent, it's a lot of fun! x

i'm so excited for you! your baby is going to be GORGEOUS. YOU'RE so pretty! what cute pics you have when you were a child. i think that's awesome. i'm not a mom, but my mother always tells me how kids change over time. when they're born, they look like one thing and then constantly evolve and change. i look like my mom now. i really took back when i was younger and looked like my dad's mom.

I dunno people say I look like my dad but I see both of them in my face; like my mums nose and then I also got her awful broad shoulders LOL. I wouldn't rely on old stories or genetics too much. I know they say when a parent had dark coloured eyes the baby will also have the same eyes because the darker wins in the DNA but my mum has practically black-brown eyes and my dad has grey and according to that fact me and my brother should have brown but I have green and he has blue so there you go LOL. Keep on dreaming and imagining what this adorable little bundle of joy will look like, it's more fun anyway!

How exciting to have a baby on the way!! Both you and your husband were such adorable kids!!!

Like yourself, I've been told as a child that if I ever got lost around the neighbourhood, they'd know who my dad was haha. People often said my sister resembled my mother but as we grew older, we started to look like each other so much that even sales assistants would ask if we were twins! So yea, it funny how features change a little over time. Just the other day a relative was telling me how much I look like my mother (a frist, really) :D

All the best with your baby on the way!!

Wow that's an amazing photo of your baby! You were so cute when you were little! I hope the next three months aren't too tiring for you. As for me, I look like my Dad, which didn't turn out that great, but my kids look like their Dad and they're perfect.

This is so exciting! I always wonder how my baby would look, too. I think it would probably have a lot of traits from my husband since he is half Iranian and those genes are strong! Your baby looks cute in the ultrasound photo! Can't wait to see him or her in photos :)

Oh my goodness! Well, baby dear will be beautiful from the beginning. But from my most recent dealings with newborns-3 new grandbabies in 1 year. Babies change so fast!!! One day they look like Momma, the next like Daddy!

Your excitement is adorable, my friend. I think your baby is definitely going to be cute! I look most like my mum. When my gran, mum and I went out together, we'd always get attention and comments on our matching eyes and smiles. I think it was because we've always laughed and had so much fun together and people have wanted to join in! (my gran is no longer mobile enough for such outings but we still get some giggle action)

i look a lot like my mum but as I'm getting older people are seeing so much more of my dad.

How precious and exciting to have the 3D Ultra sound taken. :)

Yes, all babies have a flat nose. That's because the bone is not "harden" or fully develop so that it'll be easier for baby to come out during delivery. Isn't mother nature amazing? I think all babies are little miracles.

No matter who your baby will look like, I'm sure he/she will be just as adorable and beautiful. :)

Take care and have a wonderful Sunday.

I don't know who I look like the most but people have told me I resemble my aunt on my dad's side.

It's so exciting to find out gender when the baby arrives. Either gender will be just as adorable! I have a friend who's about to pop but they know it's a boy ^_^ Can't wait to meet him!!
