While walking #3

Autumn has well and truly descended and pops of colours have appeared in the form of shedding leaves and these mini berries I collected. My idea of a perfect autumn day is one where the sun is shining and the air is crisp and cool; me wearing my light layers and walking Frankie. Unfortunately we've not had very many of those days. Lots of rain and the sun disappears before I even get home so our evening walks have become infrequent and rather short.

Not complaining though! This cool change is very welcome and suits my pregnant condition. On Saturday, we got our fireplace going for the first time this year and cosied up on the couch with hot chocolate in hand. Bliss.
Mini pine coves, macadamia flowers, unidentified mini red berries
How's the weather going on your end?

I can't wait until we get to light out first fire for the season! I've never seen macadamia flowers before - they're quite pretty!
Enjoy you week!

Oh Trishie, as you're enjoying the pretty autumn colors, I am relishing the Spring here. You always have the prettiest collections when you walk Frankie. I picked some flowers on my walk this morning :)

Sitting by the fireplace with hot chocolate sounds like bliss! Happy Sunday dear.

we've hit beautiful autumn weather too. Yesterday it was so nice to wake up to rain drops and the gentle autumn sun peeking through my curtains.
Love the images. they really capture the colours going on around this time.

The weather has been raining here in WA the last few days but it's still not cold enough to bring out the big boots and jacket yet!

These little berries and leaves you found on your walk are lovely. I think Autumn is my favorite weather. :) And I can't agree more, I love cooler temperature when I was pregnant too. I was always hot, even in winter. :P
In my area, it's supposed to be Spring but the temperature is like summer! So, I've been enjoying lots of cool drinks and ice cream.

Please take care and have a wonderful week ahead.

My husband, dog and I went on a beautiful 2 hour afternoon weekend walk and I just can't stop enjoying all this autumn-ness!I love seeing what you've gathered. When you officially announced your pregnancy (long after i'd guessed, hee hee), I remember thinking that it was great that you will be at your biggest in the cooler months. xx

These are pretty finds. Your post reminds me of my first autumn, admiring the beautiful colors of fall. We don't have one here.

Hi dear, its absolutely rainy and freezing here already. Those little red berries look familiar, we have them here, some people even eat them!

I love how these finds look against the white background. Each piece really stands out on it's own. Autumn is arriving where you are. It's nice to have your first fire of the season and feel all cosy. :-)

It feels so funny that I'm here in the middle of spring rains and you have autumn :)
Lovely things you've found outside! My favourite part about Finland's autumn are all the red, sweet but little sour cowberries. :)

Lovely pictures! The days are getting shorter and colder in Sydney...but that just means it's time to bust out the winter jackets and drink copious amounts of hot chocolate ;)

Beautiful photos!
We've got standard spring weather here...one day it feels like August and the next it feels like mid-March. Not as much April showers as typical, though, so that's good.

It's amazing, every time I see your "About me" picture I think "too young to be pregnant!" But maybe not, and it's just that you look very young - bless you, what creams have you been wearing? :) The pictures are lovely and they do remind me of spring! I would be far away today, but changed trip plans - it's good to be fleixible! So it's spring here in England, I feel good! Hope you are fine!

One of the best parts about autumn is lighting a fire and sipping hot chocolate. Well, here in the UK spring has finally arrived and it's finally getting warmer - it's only 12 degrees though! Those mini pine cones are cute!

So funny hearing you talk about Autumn and hot chocolates.. when it's in the 90's over here! I certainly do love the Autumn though. <3
