Boronia Tea Room

It's ladies high tea! To celebrate a dear friend's birthday, I, together with a group of pretty girlies gathered at the Boronia tea room on Sydney's north shore for some tea sipping and delightful nibblies. Here are some shots of our lovely afternoon.
We had a long table lined with gorgeous tea sets in a beautiful sun-lit room with large picture windows that looked out into the courtyard. We toasted with sparkling wine (and herbal tea for me) and shared sandwiches and mini tarts, melt-in-your-mouth lemonade scones and a variety of dainty sweets almost too pretty to eat. It was such a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon, all frocked up and chatting away with the girls.

Happy Birthday Claire! xx

Oh my goodness how lovely! What a perfect girls' afternoon. We have a local tea shop full of costume jewelry, so you can don stacks of pearls and ridiculously large hats for your teatime...

Looks like a lovely time! I used to love Alice's Tea Cup in NY and wonder if there are similar places here in the DC, Virginia, Maryland area.

Oh wow it looks really wonderful. Those macarons! Yum.

Once or twice a year I meet my best friend in London and we always have high tea somewhere fancy. It costs a bomb but it's worth every penny. x

Oh how gorgeous! I haven't been able to enjoy a high tea quite the same way since being gluten free which makes me a little sad. So I've decided that some time this year I will host my own high tea, gluten free all the way!

There are no tea rooms near me, but my sister and I sometimes meet halfway between our homes at a tearoom. There is something so special about a "real" tea.
