Fitskin naturally - review and giveaway

I think it's safe to say I'm somewhat obsessed with natural skincare. I have tried and reviewed a number of natural skincare brands in this space in the last year and it has reinforced even more my conscious decision to use natural sustainable products. I love that the products I use are free from nasty parabens, petrochemicals and harsh sulphates. This to me makes a whole world of sense.

In the last month, I have been using Australian-made natural skincare - Fitskin, whose philosophy is to coach your skin, so it looks healthy and fit, much like a sports coach but for the skin! I was sent the Fitskin Intro pack that consisted of cream face cleanser and scrub, sculpting face cream and eye lift cream.

The Cream Face Cleanser was very gentle and hydrating - which fulfilled my dry skin needs. It is packed full of anti-oxidants to fight against oxidative stress as well as anti-bacterial, antiseptic & anti-inflammatory ingredients to inhibit bacteria, reduce inflammation and any itching, swelling or redness. It is a very gentle and light cleanser so it did require a dose of double cleansing to remove all dirt, makeup and impurities at the end of the day.

In relation to the Face Scrub, my initial thoughts are that it is a bit watery and the beads a little too gentle for my liking (when I scrub, I really like a good scrub). But that said my skin did feel smoother and softer so it does a good job of removing dead skin cells and also I’m confident that I’m not doing any damage to my skin.

I do have to say though that my favourite product is the Sculpting Face Cream, which is a day and night cream so lightweight I was initially dubious about its moisturising properties but upon a few applications, was very pleasantly surprised to find that light as it was (and therefore also absorbed really quickly into the skin and non-greasy), it was actually extremely hydrating and felt just lovely. The product has ingredients that encourages ageing cells to act young and supports cell activity to cope with stress – just what I need!

Also, I was very happy with the Eye Lift Cream which was similarly lightweight and smelt uplifting and makes my skin feel rejuvenated and fresh. It's a great product, but if I have to nit-pick, I'll have to say that I'm not a fan of the pump dispenser, which squirts out way more product than I need. Otherwise, I'm pretty pleased with Fitskin – the products work well and the price is right.

Giveaway time! Fitskin is giving 2 lucky readers the chance to try the Fitskin Intro Pack (pictured above) which retails for $112. For your chance to win, simply tell me as a comment on this post, why you would like to try Fitskin's products. You get 1 extra point if you 'like' my Facebook Page.

Giveaway ends on Friday 5th April, 5pm EST and is open to Australian residents only. Good luck!

Update: And the winners are: Greenthumb and Carol! Congrats and thank you all for playing.

I love natural products without parabens, scary preservatives, pesticides and all the nasty chemicals so that part really appeals to me about this skincare :)

Trishie this is a great giveaway and a nice honest review of the product. At the moment I feel in the need of a coach of any sort so starting on the surface with a skin coach might be a good idea.

Sounds divine, especially the organic part. The day/night cream caught my attention, I love anything that is light but packs a punch!

I have just been diagnosed with type two diabetes (genetic not diet/lifestyle related). What a shock - healthy normal BMI, exercise daily, eat low fat dairy, lean meat and organic fruit and veg. I am feeling a tad overwhelmed by the news and a little run down. Could use some lovely natural skin care products to pamper myself with right about now.

This looks amazing. I'm a total snob for 'natural' products & this looks very promising. Also, it's just best that I stick to 'natural' products since my skin is so fickle.

By the way, I had no clue you were preggers<3 Congrats!

I agree, when I scrub, I want my face to feel like a babies butt! Sounds like it would be fun to see if my skin could be coached :) I like the sounds of it. I only buy natural stuff now after seeing all the horrific images of the test lab bunnies :( Makes me sick!

Hi, I've been thinking alot about natural skin care products lately as an extension of recently taking a more wholefoods approach to cooking. It makes sense to treat our skin with the same respect, right! Thanks for the lovely offer. I've liked your FB page under my personal account (I havnt set up an Elsie and Joan FB page, yet!)
