glō store

I had been contemplating mineral based makeup for a while so I was pretty excited when the lovely people at glō store sent me a bunch of products from their make up range - glō minerals and their skin care range - glō therapeutics to trial!
Of all the products, I was particularly keen to try the Protective Liquid Foundation (Satin). I had been using the same MAC foundation for over 10 years now and I felt like my make up routine was in need of a serious revamp. From the first application, I found the foundation to be creamy but light weight and the coverage was natural and dewy. It does well to cover minor imperfections though I still like to use a bit of concealer for under the eyes. I love the no-makeup feel on my skin and thought it did succeed in making my skin feel soft and smooth.

The Dual Foundation Brush is my favourite product of the bunch because it made blending my foundation and concealer so easy and quick! I use the large end for all over coverage, saving the narrow end for blending in of concealer in harder to reach areas like around the nose, under the eyes and corners of the mouth.

The other products worked well too. The Moist Hydration Mist is a handy little spray that I keep at work for instant refreshing throughout the day. It felt a bit weird spraying myself at first but I soon got accustomed to it. Love the gorgeous lavender smell.

The Hydrating Gel Cleanser and the Conditioning Hydration Cream are both hardworking and effective products. I have been using them for a few weeks now and can safely say that I like them.

While I am an old fashioned Estee Lauder girl, I am interested in finding a mineral eyeshadow in a sort of khaki/greeny shade. Any ideas? Have a great week!

cool review! sounds like some pretty good products there... I'm not a big makeup person, I find that even washing my face with cleansers irritates it too much! but I love the sound of the foundation being so lightweight. thanks!
