To paint, one needs to have talent and skills of which I unfortunately do not have. I suspect my inability to paint is one of the reasons why I have always found paintings to be very inspiring. They say a lot about the artist's dedication, love for the art and the way
he/she views the world.
But there is one thing I do know - which is to appreciate a beautiful painting when I come across one. At
Sedwick Studios, I came across
many.
These beautiful oil paintings are created by Sarah, the very talented artist of
Sedwicks Studio. Sarah always paints from life and her subjects range
from her neighbor's fresh chicken-eggs to floral bouquets or her morning cup of coffee (some of my favourite things!). I love how she has so cleverly created light, shadows and reflections of her subjects. It really does add dimention to every piece of oil painting and I am so amazed at how realistic they look.
How I wish Stu and I had a big house with high ceilings and plenty of wall
space so I can cover them with paintings from
Sedwicks Studio!
Now for some exciting news...

I spent quite awhile looking at all of her beautiful paintings. I finally decided that "Lemon Bowl with Knife" is my favorite. I enjoy making pots and the bowl in that picture is very striking. Thanks. Laurie.
