Thrifting

I'm not sure why I call it thrifting anymore, because all I do at op shops is spending. Also, it has become apparent to me that prices at my local vinnies has gone up - I suspect there are some serious thrifters and china lovers in my neighbourhood, driving up the demand and subsequently the prices. Boo.
But so determined was I not to return home empty handed, I scoured the store for ages, leaving nothing unturned, and after some Mmming and Hmming, finally found a few lovely items that I was quite happy to hand over money for.

This cherry print saucer sent my heart racing a little when I saw it. It would look just perfect with a slice of cherry pie on it, don't you think?
An oval dish with sweet flower prints.
A set of 3 tea towels - these are brand new and cost me $3.50
Milk jug and matching bowl.
Have you been 'thrifty' lately?

When I say you have inspired me to actually get off my butt and get to a thrift store (or op shop) I reallyyyyy mean it. I NEVER go in to them but should if it means finding treasured gems like these. Great finds :)

Lovely goodies, especially the jug and matching dish. I think all Salvos etc are getting more expensive as people as they're in more demand from people like us who love a vintage treasure!

Love your op shop finds :) I never have much luck at op shops :(

Thanks for your comment about my sunnies too - these are over a year old, Christian Dior that I got on sale at reebonz. Maybe they would still have them on ebay? they say "Dior Glossy" and then some numbers on the leg, not sure if that's model numbers?

Hehe this sounds awfully familiar, I think I probably spend more in charity shops than I do anywhere else! You've got some wonderful little bargains :-)

Gorgeous milk jug and bowl. I agree prices are getting ridiculous in some shops, it is so popular now and it's getting harder to find a real bargain! x

Yessss! I thrifted 5 pairs of bottoms, 1 of mens shorts, and 10 books all for $16. My thrift store was half-off everything that day. :D Love that feeling! And your finds are just adorable.
