In recent years, I've become quite conscious about the foods that I consume; I try as much as possible to source local organic, free range produce that are sustainable and have less environmental impact. I'm starting to think I should and could do the same with the products that I use on my skin. So when Sukin Organics sent me some of their products to trial, I was thrilled to learn about their commitment to natural, organic ingredients and their environmental focus, which means I can use their products in good conscious. But being guilt free means little if the products don't work.
So, my question was, just how effective is Sukin?
My answer is very. It makes so much sense to use natural ingredients that don't upset the skin's balance. Sukin's choice of ingredients are aloe vera, nettle, rosehip, jojoba oil and other organic goodness. My skin can be pretty sensitive and dry, so I appreciate Sukin being paraben and sulphate free. After using Sukin's cream cleanser and foaming facial cleanser to remove my makeup (yes, I like to double cleanse), my face felt clean but not tight. A swipe with my toner reveals that all makeup was effectively removed.
I may not have perfect skin but at least I can boast of perfectly cleansed skin. Here is me in all my bare faced, no makeup, no filters, no photoshop glory.
Have you been paying attention to the ingredients in your skincare products? What are your thoughts on beauty products and sustainability?

Girl, your skin is gawgeous! I think it's great when companies use natural and organic ingredients, as well as consider the environmental impact. More companies need to take that stand for sure.
You have great skin! I've never heard of Sukin, but it sounds like they have awesome products that are definitely great for the skin. Thanks for the rec, I'll have to see if I can find it!
i love products with tangerine and citrus oils in them. natural citrus cleansers are amazing and smell so great. i have never heard of sukin before this though - i'll have to look them up!
very interesting post!!!kiss kiss
It's good to pay attention to ingredients in products,I do because of allergies. You look great!
I haven't really thought about product ingredients because I trust the brands that I use. It would be a good idea to become a bit more aware about what I put on my face. After all it gets absorbed by the skin and stays with you. Hmmm...
Congrats on that amazing skin you have!
great post :)

I'm glad to have seen this because there are so many products/brands that promise so much it really does my head in. Especially when I don't have time and have very sensitive skin. My choices are limited.
I'm going to give this a try because my skincare needs updating. Will let you know how it goes :)

Still very pretty with bare-naked face =D I'm always afraid to buy new skincare. My skin are acne prone and breakout easily. Recently I discovered Dr. Murad and (fingers crossed), it has been working just fine and my skin is not acting up so far.
P.S. If you have some time, do visit my blog and participate in my very 1st giveaway. I would really appreciate it =)

Your skin looks amazin! :)
Lately I'm really interested in organic skin products, but it's hard to find the right one for my skin. I def have to try out more brands available here in Austria!
Sounds great to me - and your skin looks perfect!
Your skin looks really good! I really should start paying closer attn to what's in my skin care products.

There's a slight problem with organicness in general. As in, there are such things as organic pesticides as well as things that grow naturally that are not actually good for you. Lately I've become more and more leery of the "organic" label.
Reading the ingredients is probably the only way to go, but then, the quantity of pesticides used isn't included there!
I've had a few challenges with my skin over the past year or more. I was planning today to photograph a couple of products that are working for me to blog about actually. My focus has first been on finding what I don't react to as that has been a battle enough so far. I've never tried these products but they do sound lovely. And your skin is amazing!!
I've actually been using Sukin for a while now. They're good. I've decided to stick to natural skincare for now. I've tried Creme de la mer, Estee Lauder etc etc....I don't see any major difference nor improvement in my skin.
