Now that a couple of decades has passed, I'm finally ready put it all behind me and press flowers again.
If you've never pressed flowers before, here's a handy little tutorial to get you acquainted.
I think the trickiest part of this project wasn't so much the pressing of the flowers but rather what to do with them. A flower journal? A handmade card? Or more hideous bookmarks? I decided to arrange them in between 2 slabs of clear glass in a photo frame to make wall art.

When I was smaller, I use to press flowers all the time as well, though I think I can't even if I tried now! And not to worry, I don't think your projects look shabby at all, I quite like the simplicity of it!
ahhh i know people who do this, and it looks great!
my last pressed flower project for years ago in primary school ! wow that was a long time ago.. :)

My sister used to press flowers, I've only done this a couple times. I think yours turned out great! I need to grab a few shadow boxes for crafting soon.
It's really pretty Trishie and such a creative way to display them. I used to press flowers when I was a little girl too:) xx
Oh my goodness, I haven't pressed any flowers since I was little! I need to try this though, that really turned out pretty. :)

i love press flowers!
I haven´t pressed flowers since I was a girl - and created hideous bookmarks only a mother could love. ;-)
However, now after seeing this I might try it again! Very pretty!
Wow, what a gorgeous and inexpensive piece of art, love it!
I've not done this before but it does look tricky yet interesting. You did a great job and it makes a good deco.
This looks beautiful. I love the look of pressed flowers. I used to put flowers in really thick books to try and flatten them when I was younger.
Amazing!!!
You have a great talent!!!
very beautiful flame of pressed flowers!
I want to try, too.

Looks great!!
I pressed flowers last night and am thinking of using them to make stationary. But I might use them to decorate my home, like you did.
That's a great idea!
I pressed flowers last night... my plan was to use them to make stationary. But now I might use them to decorate my home!
Primary school was the last time!! COuld you please consider following each other? www.shineonbyandrea@gmail.com
I have never pressed flowers...but I love what you have created. It has a whimsical feel but also a contemporary look too. I went to a Turkish mosque recently and they taught us how to paint wildflowers on top of this oil solution. I loved it and still have a crinkled up trial effort!
I love this so so much! I've been wanting to press flowers for so long, would love to try this!

These are just gorgeous! I always wanted to press flowers. I actually attempted to many years ago but ended up throwing them out. Would love to give it a shot again :) xoxo
That's beautiful. It has been a long time since I've pressed flowers as well and I never knew what to do with them. Yours is a lovely idea
thanks :)!
uh really a cute & original idea dear! bisous xx
I used to love pressing flowers when I was a kid. Sometimes I still find those blooms tucked away in old books I have. So pretty. This makes me want to press some flowers again for sure. Thanks for the link to the tutorial! I love fun DIYs. :)
wow, this is gorgeous! i love it. i don't know the last time i did, but now i want to after seeing this beautiful art of yours!
Looks really lovely! :) It could be hanged to window too, I suppose?
My last time pressing flowers was some years ago, but not "the real kind". I just put an apple blossom between my poem book. :)

That's AWESOME. I pressed some flower petals and framed them over one of my favorite quotes, but I love the flowers between two pieces of glass.
so pretty <3
This is so pretty! What fun DIY.
Love this! Reminds me of being a kid and all the flowers I would press in the summer. I still stuff them between pages of books and journals from time to time.
It turned out great :) I really want to try this! It looks so pretty :)
I have always wanted to do this, but have actually never attempted it. I am always so worried I am going to irreparably crush the flowers! xo style, she wrote
Lovely :) your blog is great! Hope you’ll stop by mine too

I haven't done this in years, but after seeing how beautiful these are, I may begin again...love!!
That is beautiful! I wouldn't have thought to use them that way, but now I think I'll pin it and try it myself sometime.
Aw, I remember doing that when I was (much:p) younger and they were nowhere near as pretty as yours. Nice frame!:)
Thx for sharing this. I like how the delicate flowers look behind the glass.

oh trishie that is not shabby at all. i love it, brought back memories of when i did it a good decade ago - they were shabby:)
this is such a beautiful flower piece! great work creating it.
This is a beautiful project, Trishie. It's been a long time since I pressed flowers but you've inspired me to try again.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Excellent work! Like you, I dabbled in pressed flowers during my youth, but I haven't thought about them in a long time. My boyfriend just got me a necklace featuring a pressed flower sealed with resin. That plus this... I may have to consider trying it again!
Very clever idea! When I was in my teens, flowers placed onto seperate paper then used two telephone books to weigh/press them down. Until my Mother went looking for the telephone books. Oops.
This is a great idea!

I haven't tried it yet but I am going to try it very soon! I just have to wait for my red roses to bloom. Your artwork is pretty, btw! :)
Looks lovely! :)
This is amazing! Very inspiring.
I used to do this when I was younger. It was fun keeping the dried flowers in between books ^^
