1000 hour lashes

It may not be immediately apparent what's different about me in this photo but that is exactly the beauty of these 1000 hr natural range eyelashes (#516 Noble Black) that was sent to me by the nice people at The Beauty Office - Headquarters of diy beauty.
The last time I wore falsies I was 18, dressed up in a crazy outfit for a Halloween party. It was mad and fun and as you expect, not at all suited to everyday wear. So I always imagined false eyelashes to look just like that - dramatic and clearly fake. I was pleasantly surprised to find how real these eye lashes actually looked on me. It looked as if I was blessed with natural long lush lashes made for flirty fluttering.
For someone who hasn't applied falsies for so long, I managed to apply these rather effortlessly; I didn't even have to trim them, they were fine as it is. Each set of 1000 hr eyelashes comes with an adhesive that dries clear in 30 seconds. The trick is to start from the middle and then press down on either ends. I skipped the mascara but used a heated eyelash curler to lift the lashes. Honestly, I'd be quite happy to wear these on a regular basis.

As much as I like the natural lashes for an easy everyday look, I must admit that there are times when a girl just wants to have a bit of fun. That's when the #571 Diamond Divine eyelashes from the 1000 hour evening eyelash range come in handy with their flair for drama.  The row of tiny diamantes adds instant bling to my eyes and makes for a dramatic look perfect for a fun night out with the girls.
Application was pretty simple and easy, though the extra long lashes itself took a bit of getting used to - I'm not accustomed to actually being able to feel lashes fluttering on my face. I also couldn't stop staring at the bling on my eyes. It made me feel like I need to dress up, get my groove out and do some serious partying, which I never do anymore. Better get on to that ASAP.

Have you tried wearing false eye lashes? What was your experience with them like?

These are very pretty! I've actually only tried false lashes once - earlier this year, at a photoshoot. They are fun but I found it terribly uncomfortable. How did these feel?

I'm exactly the same, hate wearing lashes that look too false, but these are perfect!

Occasionally I wear falsies. Doing it daily is too much of a hassle, so I just stick (no pun intended) to special occasions ;)

Looks great!! Love the natural look of it!
Nope, never used fake lashes... I always imagine it being a weird feeling on my eyes (heavy).

I don't think I could apply them without glasses and that makes it a bit hard!

I've been searching for a pair of super natural-looking falsies for a while now. My sister is getting married in Sept. and I'd really like some extra oomph to my sparse, short lashes. These look great on you! and can I ask what you're wearing on your lips in that first pic? It's lovely :)

So much fun to play with lashes.

I used to have to apply lashes as part of my stage makeup when I performed as a dancer.

I also have a fun peacock blue feather pair for special occasions... namely, Halloween.

Have a great weekend girl! Flutter those lashes. :)

I've never tried fake lashes, but I've thought about it. A friend of mine got some put on at a salon and loved them. Her eyes looked so pretty with them on! And yours do too. :)
