Rainy long weekend
So much rain. I nearly forgot what clear blue skies look like.
Even Frankie decided to have a little sleep in, so Stu and I happily obliged.
And when all 3 of us finally managed to drag ourselves out of bed, it felt so dark and damp and not at all right. Sorry to be a sook but this dreadful rain really gets to me.
The only nice thing I can say about all this rain is how amazing the flowers look after the rain. How they managed to survive this crazy downpour is beyond me. Perhaps they are much tougher they seem and are not just pretty, filmsy things.

We've been kinda' hammered with rainy cold days lately too, booo, so it was nice to see the sun over the weekend. I do prefer observing nature after a rain, better than concrete:p
The flowers do look like they held up really well. It is sunny and hot here - we'd like more rain if we could get it!
Nice photos. It's amazing how flowers and plants in general make it through the rain unaffected by heavy rain... Where I live (Luxembourg) there shall be rain all week. Feels more like autumn than summer. Eventually the sun must come out. Hopefully by next week! xoxo

Here i Norway the weather is very varied. Yesterday we had sun all day, it was warm and great :) Today it's still hot, but it rains and rains..
So I hope we all get sunny warm weather soon :)

our long weekend started out really nice and sunny....went for a quick hike. then it ended with rain. kind of a bummer! pretty pictures. i love taking photos of flowers...it's good practice!

The flowers are beautiful! Nature looks amazing after the rain. It's been rainy over here too so I can definitely relate - I never want to get out of bed on gloomy days!

Your lucky to have such lovely flowers to view after a rainy stormy day!!! :) I'm from Perth & we have just had a horribleee storm - My bf and I lost our back fence! haha Crazy. I do love Winter though (I love all seasons) but it does get you down when you are locked up inside constantly. Hope you're having a great week.

The rain totally bums me out sometimes, too! Some people just love it, but I much prefer when it's nice & sunny outside!

sorry about the rain, but glad that you got such pretty photos from it. little drops on flower petals are just so perfect.
These pictures are so gorgeous. Here in Seattle we get rain all of the time, but I rarely think to take pictures of things right after the rain. Maybe next time I will.
