12 things: new recipes

Soooo, I decided to jazz things up a little bit and introduce a theme to this component of my 12 things. And since it's winter time, I could think of few things nicer than tucking into a hearty bowl of soup. I scoured the internet for various soup recipes that I could use and found the following six that tickled my fancy.

Mmmm Hmmmm.
Week 22 - Chickpea soup with basil meatballs
Week 23 - Chunky chorizo, chicken and vegetable soup
Of all the soups, I was most excited at making this brie soup. I mean, my favourite cheese in a soup? Is there anything better?
Week 24 - Courgette, basil and brie soup
Week 25 - Chorizo and rice soup
Week 26 - Celery and pork noodle soup
Looks like I've found 6 extra reasons to love soup.  In fact, I'm starting to think that I don't make it quite often enough. It is such a perfect winter dish - it warms the tummy (and the soul) and is an easy one pot dish. And I always have enough leftovers for lunch, in fact I often find that soups taste much better the next day.

Do you like soups?

Oh my gosh Brie soup! I must look away now! Can't eat that for another 10 weeks. I love making soup - it fills the home with warmth literally and the tummy and heart. I love that it's easy and that it bubbles away until dinner time. Enjoy your soup making extravaganza!

LOVE soups. Although, what I tend to make are blended vegetable soups. Can't imagine my life without a handheld blender.

I love soup so, so much. I was so confused when I read that it was winter time... until I remembered that you're in Australia! Funny, I rarely remember things like having opposite seasons.

It may be summer here (although still rainy and cold where I am), but that didn't stop me from having pho last week!

Soup is so good in winter... I've never made my own, though - bar the horrible packet soups I used to get.

I adore soups. I'm happy to eat soup every single day if I didn't have to think about the big kid (hubby) and the little kid (the real kid). Can you share the recipes?

BRIE SOUP??! Are you kidding me?! That sounds like the perfect excuse to hit up some cheese, must be hearlthy if it's in a soup...

I love experimenting with new kinds of soup - You should try kumara and coconut with a bit of blended cashews (you blend the whole soup) - it's so good with some chilli in it! :)

Yes, I do like soups!! Haha, I think it's so funny that you say 'since it's winter time', over here in Belgium, summer has just started! Weird and funny if you think about it, Internet really does make everything only a click away.
