Here are the saving graces from the weekend:
Working on a new pressed flowers project, which was quite lovely. These are flowers in various stages of pressing.
A cooked breakfast by Stu which I happily tucked into.
Walking the dog and collecting dried seed pods that looked a lot like whole flowers. I have no idea what they are. Do you?
Picking flowers from the garden. If I ever was to have a fairy godmother, I'd wish for fresh flowers every single day.
In other bits, not pictured, we celebrated Mother's Day with the in-laws on Sunday. I really badly wanted to make a dessert pie but conceded there wasn't enough time to do that. And it was fine - no one ever got hurt because there was no pie.

Sounds so lovely that you grabbed these little moments for yourself. I came across my mum's pressed flowers from 20 years ago in a book last year. It was a lovely moment. Those dried pods look gorgeous! And hooray for husbands who make weekend breakfast feasts!
Thank-you for the lovely comment you left on my blog! :)I love pressed flowers, they're so beautiful to keep as mementos and I also love to use them in my artworks! The one thing I miss about having a backyard is the garden, city living doesn't work so well with gardens sadly. :(
Sounds like a wonderful weekend :) I like the pressed flowers idea :)
