You must know how much I love roses by now.

There is something very pleasing about seeing a rose in all stages of bloom. From the tightly closed petals of a little shy bud to its glorious first day of bloom right up to its last moments as a fading rose, when its petals takes on a new texture and starts to fall.

This Charles de Gaulle rose has become one of my favourite roses. It looks and smells beautiful and certainly lasts more longer any other variety in my garden. I usually cut them for the house, but decided to leave these out so everyone can enjoy them.

Beautiful photos, love how they capture the entire life of a rose. Even when they're dying roses are still beautiful.
Roses are indeed lovely. It is delightful to see it from bud till it fully blooms. I think it was a good idea to keep that beauty in the garden, surely she enjoyed much sunshine, air and minerals from the soil :)
Lovely pictures. I adore roses, especially in that delicate purple color...and your Frankie is so cute!
