The lovely folks at
Beautyheaven sent me Lancome's rouge in love lipstick (#679N) to trial!
I won't lie. At first sight, I thought the colour was far too dark for my liking. Also it was fragranced and long lasting (which I equate as dry); two qualities I do not appreciate in a lipstick.
I gave it a go anyway and was very pleasantly surprised. The lipstick glided on smoothly and felt really nice and not at all dry. I also could not smell the fragrance once on. And the colour?
A beautiful bright plummy pink that complemented my skintone and created a healthy soft glow. I liked it so much, I kept looking at myself in the mirror, attempting various pouts and constantly taking a step back to reassess the spot of colour on my usually dull face. Clearly I was smitten.
Ok. So there are three things I learnt from this little exercise:
1. I love
Lancome Rouge in Love. Just very coyly, I think it looks good on me. And makes my lips look quite luscious.
2. Rouge in love shade # 679N matches my camelia almost perfectly.
3. I have a rather large mouth.

it looks great! I'm not a big make up wearer... just a bit of a dramatic eye when I'm heading out somewhere. I like the way I look in red lipstick, but my partner doesn't. I don't really mind either way :)

That shade is gorgeous! I tried Sephora's own brand foundation recently and absolutely love it, wish they sold it over here though :( x

I haven't tried new make-up in a while. I guess it's because I already have so many lipsticks and barely use them because I just forget to put them on.
I love these shades on you, I thought the new lipstick would be a bit dark too, but then saw it on you and love it.

Haha, your lips are not large at all, and I think the shade is lovely on you! I used to be the same with darker shades but I've learned early on to at least try it once:p
