But can I just say I'm finding this task super enjoyable? Each week I scan my recipe books with glee, running my hands greedily looking for my next new recipe that tickles my fancy. Stu too is enjoying this exercise very much (it's no wonder why). So these are the dishes I've made, counting backwards from week 9.
Finally. I resisted shoving fresh figs into my mouth and actually made a complete meal out of them. This Donna Hay recipe appealed to me because I wanted to make something pretty, that tasted good which also featured ingredients in season. Plus it was easy to make. All round winner, I say!
Week 8: Kimchi soup. Spicy, nourishing healthy.
Week 7: Paperbag snapper with basil from the garden and preserved lemon
Week 6: Abalone and chicken soup
