Bright Star

"Bright star, would I were steadfast as thou art" - John Keats
Have you seen Bright Star? I watched it last week and loved its pretty imagery that befits John Keats' romantic poems and his bittersweet love affair with Fanny Browne. Although I thought the movie was a wee bit slow at times, I loved it for its visual beauty, plus Abby Cornish is really good!

I've been dying to see it! I had a class on the Romantics last semester and decided that Keats is one of my favorite love poets ever. Although, my professor always cracked jokes about how Keats never had a sexual experience in his life :) xo

i like the part when they were trying to not let the little sister find out that they were holding hands. so every time the kid turns around they would freeze XD

Yes, I love Jane Campion films. It's always such beautiful photo, but I thought as you that Bright Star had some slow parts.
I loved the scene with the butterflies.
