- When I was a little girl, my father could not afford to buy me a Barbie doll house, so my brother made me one out of cardboard. I spent hours decorating it and to this day, I think it's the best doll house a girl can ever have.
- As I was the only girl in the neighbourhood, I used to play with my brother and his friends when we were little. We would play rough "boy games" first and then as a trade, one of them would have to play Barbie and Ken with me.
- I started collecting Barbie dolls when I was a teenager and then stopped when I hit my 20s, to this day I have over 50 of these dolls, brand new, unopened at my parent's house.
- At university, I wrote an entire final essay about Barbie as a postmodern icon and scored a High Distinction for the assignment.
What are your memories of Barbie and you?
