There used to be a time when every little girl and little boy had a hanky neatly folded and tucked into their pockets. The boys just used them as snort rags (yuck!) but us girls, we happily showed ours off, compared prints and secretly envied whoever had the prettiest hanky. Then one day, the hanky was replaced by the disposable tissue. Very handy but not so fun to show off with.I miss my hanky, do you miss yours?

So sweet!
My dad still carries his...he splashed some cologne on it before he leaves the house, it's his ritual I guess.

Lol I love hankies but I just can't use them to blow my nose! I'd just keep it as a pretty keepsake!
A friend of mine used to argue with me constantly about how it was much better to use a hanky than paper tissues, but I dunno ....no matter how many times I washed it, it just wouldn't seem clean to me!!
the 2nd is very funny!!
loving those mustache napkins..so cute!
hanky is such a sweet word isn't it?!
the problem with them is though, when they are so pretty you don't want to blow your nose on them! so you would need some disposable ones handy too! ;)
bring back old fashioned values, i say!
hehe love those moustached napkins!
I have been swooning over some particularly lovely hankies on etsy lately and also thinking that these sweet little cloths need to come back into style. They are both better for the environment and look so much prettier than any kleenex ever could.
Wishing you a splendid weekend,
♥ Jessica
Oh I still have a hanky. Just for the fun of it.
