Making bread

It was another weekend of lousy weather, so Stu and I made bread at home. I was fascinated by how incredibly easy it was to transform dough of yeast, flour and water into bread that we could actually eat. So while the dough was busy rising in the oven, Stu and I read the weekend papers to the smell of freshly baked bread. Nothing could be nicer, such are the simple pleasures of life.The bread turned out just right, crusty on the outside but soft on the outside. We had ours dipped in lemon infused olive oil and balsamic vinegar while the bread was still warm. Yum.
